The first Alvis car was introduced in 1920 and during the 1920s and 1930s, the company offered a broad model range in which engineering innovation was to the forefront. The Second World War led to success with aero engines and military vehicles. After 1945 the manufacture of cars became a secondary activity for the company and the last car was built in 1967.
